One of the most difficult situations that physicians face is being threatened, abused, or physically harmed by one of their patients. This is not an uncommon problem: Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data for 1995 indicate that more workplace assaults and violent acts occur in health care and social services industries than in any other.

Challenges of the outdoors man

The wilderness is a safe and peaceful place to spend a weekend,

Abuse of vulnerable adults

As older adults become more physically frail, they’re less able to take care of themselves, stand up to bullying, or fight back if attacked. Mental or physical ailments can make them more trying companions for those who live with them. And they may not see or hear as well or think as clearly as they used to, leaving openings for unscrupulous people to take advantage of them.

Eliminating the need to arm Teachers

An act that can potentially result in additional dangers. There’s no evidence that arming teachers will make students safer, yet the series of new  laws now allows school employees to have weapons on school grounds as long as they’re secured in a locked vehicle. There are several major problems with this.

Solution:

The Texas School Guardians app is connecting technology and law enforcement situation rooms for faster reporting when response times matter most. This App is for those wanting to add an extra layer of security/protection during an active shooter or any other threat that is encountered.

Court House and County Officials

Law enforcement officials are being assaulted and facing greater challenges in pursuit of their profession

The U.S. is one of the most developed nations in the world, but there are still areas that are poorly marked or not marked at all by street signs or other distinguishing signage. It’s a situation that poses extreme danger for law enforcement whether it’s local police, game wardens, Texas Rangers or border patrol officers.

The victimization rate for children 12 through 19 is higher than that for any other age group.

In the not so distant past, people, particularly children, saw police as a comforting presence in times of trouble. That perception has radically changed. A large percentage of the population is now afraid to interact with law enforcement for any reason. The prevalence of guns may be a major factor in that perspective.
